The ice went out at least 3 weeks early, sometime around mid-April.  We'll hopefully get the webcam and weather page up and running in a week.  The first guests are coming in not long after that!

We'll see you in August!

Exciting the ice is off but did it just come off? What i really want to know is when will the web cam be up and running!?

The ice is off our lakes and we're getting ready to start another year.  Our first guests are still a couple of weeks away, but that doesn't mean that all of the great dates have been taken.  If you're thinking about taking a spectacular Canadian fishing trip this summer, there are plenty of excellent dates available at both the lodge and our outposts.  

June dates at the outposts are limited, but there is a great 4 night trip at Mannifrank June 2-6 as well as a 5 night trip June 23-28.  There are more options in July and August for trips of a variety of lengths.  Those guests that have been with us many times over the years will know that June dates at Mannifrank are extremely hard to come by.  A couple of last minute cancellations mean you have an opportunity to visit a truly great Canadian outpost lake early in the year.  

The experienced Canadian fisherman knows that great fishing happens throughout the season, so definitely don't look past a trip later in the summer when the fish have schooled up on the lake structure.

The lodge has a plenty of open trips sprinkled throughout the season.  Whether you're looking for an early season hunt for monster pike or a relaxing August week of walleye jigging and Northern Lights viewing, we've probably got something open that will work perfectly for you.

We've had a last minute cancellation at Mannifrank lake for the end of June and an we also have a 4 night trip open early in the month.  Don't miss an opportunity to get in at one of the great outpost lakes.  The following trips are open in June at Mannifrank:

Sat, June 2 - Wed, June 6 (4 nights)
Sat, June 23 - Sat, June 30 (7 nights)

We have a few trips open at each of the camps spread around July and August.  Give us a call if you're interested in fishing one of our fantastic outposts!

Subject: Canada relaxes entry rules for DUI

As of March 1, Canada has relaxed the entry rules for people with a single DUI/OUI or other misdemeanor conviction.  A significant change is that even if the conviction occurred in the last 5 years, a person will be eligible for entry.  Also, there was previously a $200 fee to apply for this "Temporary Residence Permit" which is now waived.  For more information, please read the Star Tribune article here:
